Ref:  Aweil Community Association’s 8^th Annual Conference, 2007

Dear members of Aweil Community,

The office of the Aweil community in USA regrettably wishes to inform all of you that the Annual conference previously scheduled to take place on November 24^th - 25^th, 2007 has been rescheduled to take place on December 8^th - 9^th, 2007. The conference is being postponed to accommodate a delegation led by Governor Madut Biar which is arriving to the United States on December 4^th, 2007. We truly apologize for all the inconvenience this will cause most of you who have already taken days off from your work places and those who have bought their tickets. We strongly advise all of you to immediately do some arrangements with regard to your flights. The Aweil community Association’s 8^th annual conference is still taking place in the city of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  We would like you to join us in this great conference where you will have the opportunity to meet members of Aweil Community from all corners of the United States and beyond. The delegation coming from Sudan will include the following:  

1.       H.E. Madut biar yel ,Governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State

2.       Hon. Maraj Thiik, the Speaker of Parliament

3.       Hpn. Abuor Gordon Nhial., Minister of Social Development

4.       Hon. Garang Diing Akuong, Minister of Health

5. Hon. Hussain Abdulbagi Ayei, Political Advisor                                            

Other high ranking officials from the government of Northern Bahr-El-Ghazal State will also attend. We are yet to confirm the names of delegates coming from Canada but their names will be made available as soon as Federation of Aweil Communities in Canada remit them to us.

The renowned singer John Kudusay and video journalist, Ajang Santino Deng will also be coming all the way from Khartoum.  It will be great conference full of exciting activities.  The constitution of Aweil Community in USA will be rectified during the conference such that all outstanding issues are harmoniously addressed.  All the former presidents and executive committee members of the Aweil Community Association as well as all previous electoral committee members are greatly urged to attend the conference.

The highlight of this year’s conference will be the performance by John Kudusay and much more.  So don’t miss it.
